This is a road I drive down almost everyday. It's i15 looking north on an overpass in Lehi. I've always loved how long exposures turn out.

Day 8 Extra's

This one is on the same overpass just facing south towards my home.

7/365"Gas Price"

Today when I took my lunch from work at www.backcountry.com I watched the price in gas drop from 2.19 to 2.09!! I tried to get the guy changing it in the photo but missed him by 3 seconds (literally). It's been sooo long since I've seen gas drop into the 1's. SOOO CLOSE! Does anyone know why gas has dropped over two dollars?!

6/365 "My Last 12 Years"

I feel very lucky to have most of my 12 years of rollerblading captured on video or photos. It'll be memories I"ll never forget.

Enough said..

4/365"Kids"

I absolutely love kids. I now have 16 nieces and nephews. Ranging from 18 to 4 months. I sometimes think I could have a kid over having a girlfriend. No real drama. They make me so much more happy to be around then people much older. On some of my worst days I can always be happy around kids. I feel like older people have a hard time being real with each other. Kids are always so interested in everything going on around them. It's fun to try and teach them what I've already learned and gone through. Makes me think that having the idea of going to school to be a teacher is a good idea.

First 3 days of my "365 day Project"

A couple of days ago I made a goal to do a "365 Project" To me it's a photo a day for 365 days that will tell a story of what I'm doing at that moment of my life. Pretty much a journal of photos.

This will be the more in depth verson.  You can check out the single photo version at my flickr

Day 1/365"the beginning"
I've decided to start the 365 day project. This year could be the most life changing year of my life with good and bad times to push through. Why not have it all captured in my other memory called a camera?

Day 1 Extra's
This picture was just messing around with a flashlight and a long exposure in pitch dark.  It was all done in one photo.

Day 2/365 "Winter"
Winter has
officially started in my book. If there's snow in the valley that means it's WINTER. I woke up this morning to it snowing very hard. all this snow fell within 2 hours. I really don't love snow but I don't mind it that much. considering I get to wear lots of layers. :)

When taking this photo I used a very ghetto set up. nearly one second before the end of the 10 second delay I hit a bump causing my tripod to face down. This wasn't a second try photo so I adjusted it on the move and this is what came out of it.

Used the on camera flash with a 2nd shutter release. got a crappy tripod and ghetto rigged it to the front of the bike. Took off all my clothes and put on a pair of my dads shorts, my new burn helmet and some old spy goggles.

Day 3/365"UofU blackout game"
I gr
ew up going to the University of Utah football games with my childhood friend Derek Jenson, and our family's. Our fathers have kept the same
season tickets for the last 40 years. Derek and I started becoming HUGE Utah fans attending home games and the occasional away, or bowl game. I don't recall how it came about, but Derek and I started painting our faces for the games
we felt needed it. We perfected it by cutting out a stencil U and tracing it on our faces. People seemed to enjoy all of our different color schemes.
We even got a photo printed in a big newspaper in Salt Lake. We did that for a couple years. I started traveling a lot so I wasn't able to make it the games as much. Soon after that, my brother Travis took over my
partnership with Derek. They took it to a whole new level... . ...

Present Day...

Derek called me a couple days ago and invited me to the #8 University of Utah (9-0) Vs #11 Texas Christian University (9-1) game. Still being a big follower and fan of Utah I couldn't resist. I didn't join the face painters but I chose to follow them around camera in hand. These two have taken it so far that they are guaranteed to at least show up in newspapers, be on TV or dance on the megatron screen in front of the 44,000 attending. Today they were interviewed by one of Utah's biggest news stations before the game. Utah ended up winning the "blackout" game 13 to 10. Utah drove 80 yards for the win in the final two minuets of the play. Amazing game to say the least.

Day 3 Extras
